A better place to live
We’re here to help humans live better lives.
That means we — collectively — must hit our climate goals, by both reducing CO₂ emissions and by removing CO₂ from the atmosphere.
Seeing how we can make use of nature’s own cycles of absorbing CO₂ and decomposing organic matter, we’re optimistic. Carbon removal doesn’t have to be energy intensive or to compete with arable land to grow food. It also doesn’t have to be at a small scale.
We can remove gigatons of CO₂ and store it for 1000+ years.
Our co-founders, Kaja and Mike, met while assessing opportunities for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) from biomethane production. They discovered that the technology is here, but that commercialization and implementation are lacking.
That’s why Inherit Carbon Solutions is entering as a project developer. The time is now.
The team that’s making it happen
Kaja Voss
CO-FOUNDER & COO
Kaja initiated the first formal study of the potential of biogas plus CCS together with the Norwegian Environment Agency. She has extensive experience in the biogas sector as a consulant.
Mike Carpenter
CO-FOUNDER & CEO
Mike has 15+ years of experience with CO₂ storage projects. From 2015-2021, he helped design and engineer the Northern Lights CCS project through Gassnova. He was also a Principal Consultant in DNV GL.
Audun Røsjorde
CTO
Audun served as director of CCS technology and competence in Gassnova and developed the Longship CCS-project. He was also a Leading Advisor and a Principal Engineer in Statoil.
Erling Haugsand
CCO
Erling previously focused on international business development and project management at Cognite. He also worked as a management consultant for Boston Consulting Group.
